Funding in Angus

The King's Fund - GSK Community Health Programme

The GSK Community Health Programme supports small charities tackling health inequalities.

Up to 10 charities will receive up to £10,000 in unrestricted funding plus access to free training and development valued at £5,000.

Deadline: 10th August

The King's Fund - 2027 GSK IMPACT Awards

The GSK IMPACT Awards are funded by GSK & provide core funding & free training for charities doing excellent work to improve people’s health and wellbeing.

Up to 15 awards will be made, ranging from £5,000 to £50,000, plus free training and development valued at a further £13,500.

Deadline: 19th August

The Gambling Harm & Mental Health Fund

The main purpose of this fund, available for third sector and community organisations, is to understand the impact of gambling harms on specific disadvantaged, marginalised, and minoritised communities and how this intersects with wider social, economic, and environmental factors.

Deadline: 14th August

The Wildlife Trusts – Green Community Grants

Grants of up to £25,000 are available.

Aims and objectives must fit with one of the two funding themes:
Contributing to nature recovery and responding to the climate emergency

Apply 24 June - 15 July & 30 September - 21 October 2026

Angus Parental Employability Challenge Fund

Grants of £10,000–£20,000 are available per project.

The fund will support innovative outreach, trust-building and engagement activities for parents who are not currently accessing employability support and help them connect with existing services and pathways.

Deadline: 6th July

Barchester's Charitable Foundation

Grants of up to £2,600 for groups, and up to £1,500 for individuals.

Grants are to help older people and other adults with a disability lead more fulfilled lives and reach their full potential.

Group applications - April 2026 window open. Ongoing individual applications.

Sport Facilities Fund

A budget of circa £2 million per annum supports capital projects that help to create or improve places where people take part in sport and physical activity.

Deadline: 1st April and 1st September each year

CARES Community Buildings Fund

Grants up to £80,000 for 80% of eligible costs are available to eligible community groups to help you reduce energy costs and make your building more sustainable.

Deadline: end of October 2026

The Wolfson Foundation

Funding a broad range of organisations. Grant sizes vary between different categories.

Round 1 - Open from 20 November - 5 January (for decisions in June)

Round 2 - Open from 14 May - 1 July (for decisions in December)

Learning Disability Support Fund

Total of £325,000 available for first 6 months and £650,000 per year for following two years.

Aims to sustain and support organisations working directly with people in Scotland with learning disabilities.

Active October 2025 to March 2028

Our Arbroath Regeneration Grant Fund

Small Grants of up to £5,000 and large grants up to £20,000

This dedicated grant programme is designed to support meaningful, community-led projects that improve local spaces, bring people together & help build the Arbroath we all want to see over the next ten years.

Deadline for small grants: 3 December 2026
Deadline for large grants: Applications are assessed quarterly, with various deadlines.

Erasmus+

Funding is available for international placements and partnerships for organisations working in education, training, youth and sport.

Erasmus+ provides funding to support mobility opportunities for young people and adults to gain international experience and develop skills; and providers to develop partnerships with relevant organisations in different countries.

Deadline: February/March 2027

Volunteering Matters Action Earth

Small grants of up to £250

For volunteer groups across Scotland in urban areas or near population centres who are boosting biodiversity through planting and habitat builds.

Projects must conclude by February 2027

Rhododendron Trust

Grants of between £1,000 and £2,000 to charities registered in the UK which support humanitarian welfare projects in the developing world and the UK; it also supports some cultural and wildlife projects.

National Lottery funding

Groups can apply for grants of up to £10,000 for projects lasting up to 12 months

To support community, arts, and sports activity inspired by Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

The Robertson Trust

Funding of between £2,000-£10,000 for one year is available to grant holders to undertake work which contributes to organisational and staff resilience.

Provides grants of up to £1500

Supporting children, young people or families from across the whole of Scotland.

B&Q Foundation

Grants available for up to £10k.

Grants awarded to charities who are creating or improving homes so that more people have a place to feel at home.

Annie Ramsay Mclean Trust for the Elderly

To assist elderly persons suffering from handicap, disablement or infirmity, whether physical or mental in Tayside and Fife.

The amount of funds available varies from one burgh to another

Common Good funds are available in Arbroath, Brechin, Forfar, Kirriemuir and Montrose.

Cairngorms National Park Authority - Outdoor Learning Travel Grant

Funding 75% of transport costs, up to £300

This fund is aimed at supporting schools and voluntary and community groups making educational visits to the Cairngorms National Park.

Various grants are awarded twice yearly in March and September

The trust funds charitable organisations in the district of Angus that assist in the provision of housing and other necessities for the inform, elderly, needy or disabled.

Apply for grants of up to £25,000

Makes a key difference to Scottish medical research development through medical research grants and scholarships.

The Aberbrothock Skea Trust

The Trust distributes around £100,000 per annum

Grants are only given to organisations with charitable status carrying out their objectives within Angus, Dundee, Perth and Kinross, Aberdeenshire and Kincardineshire, and in particular Arbroath.

Grants awarded: three times a year, normally in March, August and December.

St Katharine's Fund

Various small grants available

The trust makes a large number of mostly small grants to charities, with a preference for those in Dundee and Tayside. It tends to give to the same charities each year.
