13-19 May 2024
13th-19th May, is Mental Health Awareness Week. Angus Mental Health and Wellbeing Network (AMHAWN) is proud to be supporting this amazing campaign aimed at raising awareness and combating stigma surrounding mental illness.
The theme for 2024 is “Movement: Moving more for our mental health”. Movement is important for our mental health but so many of us struggle to move enough. Did you know that one way to increase your movement is through volunteering? Volunteering also brings many other benefits for your mental health, take a look at the images below!
Voluntary Action Angus will be raising awareness on our social media platforms throughout the week, highlighting some of the benefits our services can offer for mental health, as well as the positive impact volunteering can have on mental well-being.
If you’re interested in taking the first steps toward volunteering, please contact us at info@voluntaryactionangus.org.uk or call 01307 466113.
