The Trust seeks to stimulate interest in the beauty, built heritage and distinctive history of the Brechin area. Their main aims are:

• encouragement of high standards of architecture and town planning in Brechin
• the stimulation of public interest in the beauty, history and character of the area
• the preservation, development and improvement of features of public amenity and historical interest
