The Saltire Awards - Showcasing Local Achievers

The Saltire Awards are the Scottish Government’s way of celebrating, recognising and rewarding the commitment, contribution and achievements of young volunteers in Scotland, aged between 12 and 25.

Young people gain nationally recognised certificates, signed by Scottish Government Ministers, for the different amounts of volunteering they do.

Young volunteers can only be nominated for this award by the organisations they volunteer with.

Find out more about the Saltire Awards here.

Our Youth Development Worker, Adhamh can help you get started on your journey to achieving Saltire Awards! If you are interested in getting started, email adhamh@voluntaryactionangus.org.uk

The Summit Award

The Summit Award is for an outstanding contribution to volunteering and is the highest achievable award a young person can receive with Saltire. It is awarded to recognise volunteers who have not only achieved 200 hours of volunteering but also exceeded expectations.

Local Achievers!

Three local volunteers, Christina, Logan and Courtney have all completed over 500 hours of volunteering each and have achieved their Summit Award whilst volunteering with Showcase The Street!
