Community Training Volunteer
TRE-Life CIC supports isolated and disadvantaged individuals into positive destinations. We support a variety of people to overcome barriers, for instance lack of confidence and self-esteem, and help them to have a more positive outlook for the future. We support people on a one-on-one basis and in group settings. This where our volunteers are invaluable. During group training sessions, volunteers can support a participant with his or her learning, become involved is supporting a variety of workshops or even just sit and have a chat with a participant. The volunteer will be given training to gain experience in all aspects of training and supporting participants with learning including, but not limited to; the requirements of becoming an SQA assessor; how creative workshops can help participants develop employability skills; how to plan and prepare for a learning session. This experience will provide volunteers with an enhanced range of communication, organisational, creative, and interpersonal skills whilst developing confidence to work and support others.
