Project Delivery Officer - Employability Vacancy

Reporting to: Chief Executive

Salary: £11,700 (9 Months)

Hours: 30 Hours Weekly

Location: Links Park Stadium

Contract: Fixed Term: 9 Months


Job Description:

Kick off your Career is a new programme delivered by Montrose Community Trust in partnership with the Scottish Professional Football League Trust (SPFL Trust) and the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP). The programme will be delivered across four pilot organisations Aberdeen FC Community Trust, Dundee FC In The Community and the Raith Rovers Community Foundation. This programme will provide an opportunity to engage participants from local Job Centres and support them with the key skills in to positive pathways and employability opportunities.


We are looking for a responsible Project Delivery Officer with a track record delivering employability sessions and programmes with hard-to-reach groups and those furthest from the labour market. The successful candidate will work closely with our Chief Executive and colleagues at the SPFL Trust and DWP to ensure the smooth and successful delivery of this new programme. To succeed in this role, you should have excellent time management, organisation, and communication skills, allowing you to effectively collaborate with partners and internal teams to deliver results.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Delivery of both Kick off your Career cohorts
  • Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information
  • To build solid working relationships with key stakeholders to develop project delivery
  • Ensure that project needs are delivered successfully
  • Work flexibly and responsively reporting issues that may arise • Effectively administrate all project documentation • Contribute to project plans and reports as required • Contribute towards the timely and accurate application of project evaluation plans • Identify potential project issues and respond effectively


  • Proven work experience as a successful Project Delivery Officer or similar role in Employability
  • Experience of working in employability or with hard-to-reach groups
  • Experience of Scotland’s Credit and Qualifications Framework
  • An ability to prepare and interpret step-by-step action plans
  • Exceptional organisational skills, including multitasking and time-management
  • Understanding of project evaluation
  • Strong teamwork skills
  • Ability to identify potential project risks
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Suites in particular Microsoft and IT competency (excel and databases)
  • Experience in the preparation of project reports
