Consultation Action Transformation

Voluntary Action Angus, Angus Women’s Aid, Deaf Links, Relationship Scotland FM and Children’s Health Scotland have joined together to look at what can be learned from the COVID-19 response to help improve the design and delivery of services across Angus.

What we will do

We have applied for and received funding to carry out research with communities across Angus to identify:

  • How COVID-19 has impacted on communities across Angus
  • What can be learned from how communities and organisations responded to COVID-19
  • How this can be used to inform the development of services and support to tackle issues which have arisen during the pandemic or have been exacerbated by the pandemic

We have asked The Collective to undertake this research on our behalf.

How you can be involved

For the findings from this project to be meaningful, we need as many people who live and work in Angus to help inform the research, to help ensure that we get views from across Angus and from different groups we will be offering different ways for people to get involved.

Community Researchers

We will be recruiting up to 10 Community Researchers who will help us:

  • develop the research questions
  • gather information from people in their communities and help us get our survey out across Angus
  • sense check the findings and recommendations

If you want to find out more about becoming a community researcher email ellie@elliehutchinson.com   We will provide training and a small payment in exchange for your time.

We will be launching an online and paper survey which our community researchers, partner organisation and other supporters will help get out to as many people as possible.

Focus Groups

In December we will be hosting some online and face to face focus groups to speak with people more in-depth about their experiences.

Sharing your stories and experiences

We will be offering people the opportunity to creatively share their stories and experiences; this could be through sharing a video you’ve made, a blog post or through writing your story.

Feedback Sessions

In January we will hold a number of feedback sessions to let people know what we have found and check out how workable people think the suggestions we have about how these can be addressed.

If you are interested in taking part in any of these opportunities please sign up for updates, sign up for the VAA newsletter or keep an eye on our social media.
