Making Work Work

Recruiting now for participants to Making Work Work - for Women Returners

We are now recruiting women returner participants for cohorts starting in August after the school summer holidays. The programme is fully-funded for eligible women.

Our programme is needed more than ever. Research published this weekend in the Sunday Times found that for the first time in three decades, the number of women who are leaving the workforce due to ‘looking after family’ has grown.

There are four things you can do to help spread the word and support us to support the women in your networks:

  1. Follow our new Making Work Work socials and share our content on your channels:

2. Share our flyers with your network and update any content you have in your own newsletters and websites about the programme. Posters are available to
download here (there is one aimed at prospective participants and one at referral organisations)

3. Encourage colleagues to attend our info session for organisations on 14 June at 10:30am to learn more about the programme and who to refer to us. Sign up here

4. Come and say “hi” to my colleague, Lesley, and me at the SCVO Gathering next week 15 & 16 June, if you are planning to attend. Send me a mail to let us know if you’ll be there, or catch up with me after the session on “SCVO training for the voluntary sector: today, tomorrow and beyond” in Alsh 2 at 2pm on Thursday 16 June, at which I am speaking.

Making Work Work – for Women Returners is delivered by the charity, Challenges Worldwide, part of The Challenges Group, and participation is fully funded for eligible women by the Scottish Government through Skills Development Scotland.

If you have any questions about the programme, please get in touch: womenreturners@thechallengesgroup.com

Thank you for your support so far – we really appreciate it!
