These will include a GP from the practice who will speak about medical assistance available for various symptoms of Menopause.

There will be a life coach speaking about weight loss, improving mental health and wellbeing, improving mobility, and menopause.

There will be a Dru Yoga and Meditation session and the speaker will explain the benefits of Yoga & Exercise: In particular weight-bearing exercise with impact and muscle-strengthening exercise which is important during menopause. (Bring mats).

There will be an Employment law specialist who pointed out that change in the law was long overdue: “At the present, the law doesn’t go far enough to give menopausal women the same stand-alone protective characteristics it does to pregnant women. Women must have confidence that their employers understand what menopause might mean for them and offer every possible support.

A Nutritionist will give a talk on the Eat well Guide and your diet during menopause.

The new Chief Executive of Voluntary Action Angus will speak about (a) the role of Voluntary Action Angus, (b) the new Women’s Centre which is based in Forfar but will be moving as a Road Show to other areas, (c) a Research Project presently being carried out and (d) Information on Endometriosis Support.
