Could you be a positive male role model to a child or young person living in Angus?
Aberlour, Scotland’s Children’s Charity, are currently recruiting male Befrienders for our Sustain Angus service to support children and young people who have specifically chosen to have a male volunteer.
Aberlour works with children and young people who have experienced disadvantage, trauma or have disabilities. We pride ourselves on our child centred focus and strong commitment to the individual development of each child emotionally, socially, physically and intellectually. Our volunteers play an active role in achieving this and making a real difference to the lives of children, young people and their families. Our Sustain service in Angus helps struggling families to stay together, by giving them the help and support they need, when they need it.
We are recruiting male volunteer Befrienders to support children and young people in our Sustain Angus service who would benefit from having a male role model. As a Befriender, you can play an active role in encouraging a child or young person to take part in activities, develop confidence and experience new opportunities. You can play an important role in helping a child feel safe and secure by giving them someone to talk to.
