Penumbra Angus Nova Service offers support to individuals experiencing mental health challenges to engage more fully into their community, by helping them to access mainstream activities and groups such as further education, sports, clubs and work, whether voluntary or paid. The service is available to anyone living in Angus, over the age of 16 years.”
Magnus Moncrieff (Active Schools Coordinator) works with local schools in the Webster’s High School cluster to provide sport and physical activity opportunities for school aged children in the Kirriemuir and surrounding area. Volunteers are key to leading and assisting extra-curricular clubs at primary and secondary level and for cluster clubs that are based at Webster’s Sports Centre and other venues after school.
There are opportunities for people who are keen to develop their leadership skills or coaching experience to volunteer in schools, with cluster clubs or at sport festivals/events held at Webster’s Sports Centre or around Kirriemuir. Volunteers can expect to gain opportunities to attend courses to develop their skills or gain coaching qualifications.
To find out more information or to ask any questions about volunteering please contact Magnus Moncrieff on the details below.
