The role of the PAG member is to represent the Patient Population in assisting the improvement of the Practice, but will not deal with complaints or own personal issues. These should be directed to the Practice Manager at the Medical Practice.
The group is open to patients of the Practice aged 16 years and above.
We should meet every 4 months, but if the Practice requires some input or help from the group an extra meeting will be required.
Meetings are usually held over a lunchtime period. They are held at the Practice and take between 1-2 hours, depending on the Agenda.
We are at present a small group but, if you think you would like to help the Practice, Community and yourselves as patients, we would be delighted to see you.

If you would like some more information, please leave your name, address and telephone number at the Reception desk at the Practice, or telephone: Practice Manager, Monifieth Medical Practice on 01382 534301 after 2pm.

Montrose group meet on the last Monday of each month (except December) at the Links Medical Centre, Montrose 2pm-4pm.

Carnoustie group meet on the last Wednesday of each month (except December) in The Parkview Health Centre 2pm-4pm.

The group is a self help support group who have regular monthly meetings with speakers on various subjects, as we feel that good information and communication is important in the self management of our conditions and the more we know what is available to us, the more we are able to cope with everyday life.

During the group sessions we also have relaxation and seated exercise sessions so there’s maybe something you can take and enjoy at your leisure which will help you manage a little better.

Our group is open to all members of the public who suffer from or care for someone with a long term medical condition, not only from the Angus area but also from Dundee. We have a signpost links page on our website and we have a small library of DVDs, CDs and leaflets available to our group members. There is no charge for attending any of our meetings and a list of speakers is on our website at http://www.altcsg.org.uk

There’s increasing evidence that singing regularly as part of a group is good for your general health and wellbeing. It seems to be especially good at improving your quality of life if you’re living with a lung condition. This group is run in partnership with Nordoff Robbins Scotland and is led by a music therapist who has taken part in our BLF Singing programme. This means they’ve been trained to lead singing groups for people with lung conditions.  The group also links with Forfar Airways, but those who are not part of Forfar Airways are welcome to attend the singing session.
