We are supplementary Russian School in Dundee. We meet every Saturday during the term time at Craigie High School in Dundee.
Our curriculum includes subjects of Russian, Art, Math, Drama. We have classes for children and adults.
We organise cultural and educational events and aim to promote Russian culture in Scotland.
We also provide excellent volunteering opportunities.
We are keen to make new friends with the organisations of similar ilk and open to any ideas promoting diversity and pursuing charitable goals.
Each institute has monthly meetings with either a speaker or a demonstration. The Federation organises competitions in sport, speech-making, choral singing and drama. There are also classes for crafts and cookery. Membership is open to all women over the age of 14.
The group’s home is Dibble Tree Theatre and during the year presents a pantomime, two full-length plays and two one-act plays. There are currently over 150 members. The club is affiliated to NODA (the National Operatic and Drama Association) and to SCDA (Scottish Community Drama Association). The group has a busy social calendar, has an active youth presence and enters productions in the SCDA Competitive Festivals.
