The Woodcraft Folk Dundee & Forfar is an independent charity based on a national movement that exists to empower and educate young people and children.
The Woodcraft Folk is built upon principles of peace, friendship and conservation.
We work to uphold and promote these principles by running regular activities both outdoors and indoors with children and young people locally.
Angus Special Playscheme provides fun and educational activities during the school holidays for children aged 5-18 with additional support needs. They run three schemes flexibly tailored to different age ranges. In addition to this they also run a scheme called 1:2:1 which caters for those with complex needs who require particular one to one care.
DBPSS is working towards a world where all people who are blind or partially sighted enjoy the same rights, opportunities and responsibilities as everyone else.
We are a membership organisation and membership is open to anyone living in Dundee, Angus, Perthshire, Fife and beyond.
We offer our members advice and support service and run daily social activities, these include bingo, craft clubs, lunch clubs, weekly outings, wheelchair aerobics, etc.
DBPSS recognises that the social activities offered are a vital lifeline to its members, offering them an opportunity to meet and engage with their contemporaries, participate in group outings, share experiences and for many members, it gives a focus for the day/week ahead.
