Letham Health & Wellbeing Centre – Appeal for Volunteers!
Letham Health and Wellbeing Centre provide a valuable service to the residents of Letham and surrounding area enabling them to access health services in their own community, our volunteers are an integral part of this service providing a welcoming greeting to those visiting the Centre. We are currently recruiting volunteers who would be interested in giving an hour a week to support the Centre’s ongoing development. We would also be interested to hear from people who might like to help more occasionally and join a rota of volunteers.
Our volunteers support people to access the Pod (where they can measure their blood pressure amongst a variety of other health checks) as well as providing a signposting service to other services or activities in their community. Volunteers will receive guidance and support from Carol Torrance from Voluntary Action Angus. Carol said “Volunteering is a great way to get active in your community and gain experience in a health setting. You’ll be making a brilliant contribution to the Letham Health and Wellbeing Centre as well learning new skills.”
